Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s edition of Loose Watercolours! How’s your week been? Good, I hope. I think I got a little too excited about the weather, as we’ve been jinxed this week with the cold again - I definitely spoke too soon. But here’s hoping it’ll warm up again, so I can get back to plein air practice in no time! It’s my favourite way to paint, honestly, as I get to paint my subject directly, and I always bump into so many interesting people. So hopefully the sooner, the better.
It was lovely to see you all at the last live broadcast, which was Monday’s ‘Blue May Moon.’ If you’re looking to paint more over this year, why not come along to one of the live broadcasts? Here’s a photo from my recent trip to Provence. Why don’t you use it as a reference to create your own painting? Remember, the loose style is all about seeing what magic happens on the paper, so don’t worry too much about getting bogged down with all the details. I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the result.
